| Introduction |
Passport Office, Mumbai is one of the oldest offices functioning since 1954. It is subordinate office of the Ministry of External Affairs under the supervision of the Joint Secretary (CPV), who functions as Chief Passport Officer, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi. Earlier it was the Central Passport and Emigration Organization subsequently it was named as Central Passport Organization.
