Passport Office, Surat was inaugurated as on 16.08.2003 by Shri Yashwant Sinha, then Hon'ble Union Minister for External Affairs to cater to the passport applicants in the South Gujarat Region. The chief guest was Shri Kashiram Rana, Chief Hon'ble Minister for Rural Development. It caters to 7 (seven) districts located in South Gujarat.

Dang, Narmada, Navsari, Surat City, Surat Rural, Tapi (Vyara), Valsad.
